Artist Biography

Abhiroop Mookerjee, also known as PopnRoop, is a seasoned street dancer, performer, and instructor with over a decade of experience. He has competed in street dance events across Canada, including Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary. Abhiroop has instructed both children and adults in the fundamentals and choreographies of street dance and has been a guest instructor at Silverspring Elementary School and DefSol productions. He has also performed as a guest dancer in Saskatoon and Regina. His teaching philosophy focuses on mastering the basics of dance first, and then incorporating foundational movements into routines and choreographies, rather than merely memorizing steps.

Join Abhiroop as we explore the roots of hip hop street dance and learn some basic steps from Popping, Animation and Hip Hop Freestyle.
