Artist Biography
Bonny Macnab is a Saskatchewan-based visual artist and storyteller working in mixed media. Her love for the land and surroundings informs her visual and fibre art practice. Over the past 10 years, Macnab has received three significant grants from Sask Arts and Canada Council for the Arts to research Western Canadian plants for botanical printing and eco-printing. This research has led to a body of work and five solo shows showcasing the wonders of nature.
Macnab is also the creator and host of projects aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation of the land and plants around us. She believes, “The more we know and learn, the better we can care for the people and places we inhabit.”
Join Bonny and her friend Susy Lister as they take your class on a journey through the land we live on while we explore how to use the land around us to create works of visual art.
